 1. best design digital media
The interaction between human and information medium is crucial. Starting point is the interaction between functional and visual design. This is usually translated into a user friendly product. Also: the design of computergames with an informative value or entertainment value, the internet applications that realise an optimal, original and careful communication between sender and receiver, through content and form.
Products: games, graphic user interface of appliances' control panels, websites, electronic publications, medial presentations (for example in museums), internet distribution channels, education software.
Criteria: concept, interface, interaction, architecture, structure, imagery, added value, user friendliness, audio application, complexity, learnability, integration within the product design as a whole, information transmission, visual quality.

 


2. best motion design

The narration and/of information in animation, where scenography, motion, sound and construction are compatible. An animator can make use of different media and techniques.
Products: animations for commercials, websites, infographics, educational museumproducts, web- and television animations, clips and leaders.
Criteria: concept, originality, added value, storyline, eloquence, technical elaboration, information transmission, use of material, visual and auditive quality.


 

3 best graphic design

All ‘flat' applications of text and/or image supporting a message or representation. Print is the most traditional end product, but contemporary designers work on a broad range of product that are not necessarily two-dimensional.
Products: flyers, posters, catalogues, brochures, books, invitations, cd/dvd covers, cards, annual reports, calendars, newspapers, newsletters, magazines, letter fonts, signage, forms, user applications, symbols, banknotes, bank, saving and telephone cards, certificates, coins and stamps.
Criteria: concept, innovation, originality, applicability, technical and editoral elaboration, material use, signature, information transmission.
