JUDGING
Selection committees are busy scouting around the design field for designs that may be eligible for a Dutch Design Award. The committees are comprised of professionals who know what is going on in the field of Dutch Design. Each category has its own selection committee.
Selection committee members have the important task of compiling a list of finalists from all significant entries. The DDA 2009 finalists will be announced in September 2009.
And the winner is...?
The international jury convenes on Friday 16 October to appoint the winners of DDA 2009. They will also appoint the winner of The Golden Eye - best of the best 2009 -. The jury will review all works carefully at the DDA exhibition on the Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven.
The public chooses a winner!
An exception to the selection procedure is the Audi Design Award, which is the public award. Not the international jury but the public determines the winner by voting for their favourite design. One of the ways to vote is via this website as soon as the finalists in this category are known.
