DDA 2016 International Jury
October 17 2016
On Friday 21 October, the international jury of Dutch Design Awards will meet to decide who the winners of 2016 are per category. Out of all the winners they also select the winner of the Future Award, the overall prize for the most promising design for the future.
The international jury consists of design experts from several disciplines and nationalities. This year the jury consists of Alice Rawsthorn (UK, design curator and critic, for e.g. New York Times), Ravi Naidoo (SA, director Design Indaba) and Rosa Bertoli (UK, design editor Wallpaper). The chairmen of the categories, Joost Alferink (Product, Fashion), Richard van der Laken (Communication, Service & Systems), Eline Strijkers (Habitat, Design Research) and Saskia van Stein (Young Designer) complete the jury. Giovanni Colauto, CEO of luxury department store De Bijenkorf, is the chairman of this eight-piece, independent jury.
The winners will be announced on Saturday 29 October during the Awards Show, at the Effenaar in Eindhoven. Tickets for the Show are still available.
The public also gets to decide on a winner: until Saturday 29 October people can vote online and at the exhibition for the Public Award. The exhibition at Veemgebouw is, together with others, part of Dutch Design Week (22-30 October). Tickets for Dutch Design Week can be ordered here.
