Vera van der Burg is a designer and researcher exploring AI as a tool for self-reflection and creative inquiry. Her work interrogates subjectivity, emotion, and the possibility of slow, intimate modes of machine learning.

Merging design, philosophy, and anthropology, van der Burg uses AI to question what technology means for human experience—turning design into a mirror for introspection. A PhD candidate at TU Delft’s Designing Intelligence Lab, her practice is both personal and universal, using design to tell stories about technology, self-exploration, and their potential to shape the world we live in for the better.
