Dutch Design Awards is once again on view on the Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven from 17 through 25 October 2009. During the Dutch Design Week, the work of all finalists and winners can be admired in the glass greenhouse. In that week, the city of Eindhoven will be buzzing with a range of events and attractions pertaining to the theme of Dutch Design.

DUTCH DESIGN WEEK 2008

With well over 10,000 visitors, the exhibition of the Dutch Design Awards 2008 in the glass greenhouse on the Stadhuisplein proved a great success.  Photos are available here. Among the people visiting the exhibition during the opening day were also Minister Plasterk and Lidewij Edelkoort.

The exhibition featured the work of all finalists and winners of the Dutch Design Awards. It is not surprising that there was a great deal of attention for the work of Christien Meindertsma, who carried off The Golden Eye with her book PIG 05049.

BUSINESS OF DESIGN WEEK HONG KONG

In December 2008, the exhibition travelled to the Business of Design Week in Hong Kong. For a photo impression, click here. The Business of Design Week (BoDW) provided an eminent opportunity to present the work of winners and finalists on an international scale. Not only was the Netherlands the partner country of the BoDW, the meeting platform for designers, design experts, and entrepreneurs, but also State Secretary Frank Heemskerk paid a visit to the international trade fair together with a trade delegation of around 200 Dutch entrepreneurs in the creative industry.
