A tapestry designed by Frederike Brand. The hand tufting technique is traditionally used, but the mix of colors of the woolen threads in the tufted sections produces a remarkable effect.

The exceptional design and the unusual use of color pleasantly surprised the jury. Brand succeeded in breathing a new life into the centuries-old tradition of the tapestry by her application of nontraditional design techniques. With her daring design (which calls to mind associations with microorganisms and melted ice cream), she has taken an interesting step.
