The Big Bench is door Wim Poppinga ontworpen voor Grijsen park & straatdesign met als uitgangspunt dat een duurzaam product voor de hedendaagse openbare ruimte vooral robuust moet zijn. Dit is vertaald in een oerdegelijk bank met stevige afmetingen en een comfortabele uitstraling die uitnodigt tot zitten.

Starting from an art project in public space, Wim Poppinga developed a sturdy bench that meets the public’s expectations of street furniture, but also has a very distinct individual appearance. Production and assembly method are in agreement with the contemporary requirements that street furniture has to comply with.
