This episode of Tegenlicht is about the large quantities of data that can be found online and reveals striking information about oil company Shell. Big Data is a documentary in which large amounts of data on the role of Shell and the Iranian regime are used as the source for ‘storytelling’ and analysis.
In this project, new methods of investigative journalism come together with design, allowing the message to get across in a much better way. The designer has used LinkedIn in a new way to collect information that otherwise would have been inaccessible. The Committee appreciates in particular the cooperation between the designers and the television program Tegenlicht.
