The project

In response to the culture cuts announced some time ago, Mediametic made transparent how the arts budget compares to other public and consumer spending.


These infographics prove that one image is worth a thousand words. The strong symbols communicate the message very effectively to a wide audience.

— Graphic design is about organizing information and making it accessible. The Mediamatic poster series as reaction to the cutback in the culture budget announced in 2011 is a prime example.
